PUKY LR M – the perfect entry into the world of two-wheelers

The PUKY LR M is the ideal first balance bike for small explorers from 2 years old. With this model, children train their sense of balance, coordination and motor skills in a playful way – the best preparation for the first bicycle.

Thanks to the extra-light 8.8" wheels with maintenance-free soft tyres, the PUKY LR M rolls particularly quietly and effortlessly – whether indoors or outdoors. The ergonomic banana saddle, developed specifically for balance bikes, ensures an optimal riding position and prevents unwanted slipping. A low step-in makes it easy and safe to get on and off, while the large footboard provides the perfect place to rest the feet comfortably on longer rides or downhill sections.

For maximum safety, the PUKY LR M is equipped with safety handlebar grips, a PUKY handlebar pad and a well thought-out steering geometry. A steering lock limit has been deliberately omitted – so in the event of a fall, the handlebar can lie flat on the ground.

With a height-adjustable handlebar and saddle, the balance bike grows with your child over the years and reliably accompanies them on their first riding attempts. The impact-resistant powder coating ensures a long-lasting, hard-wearing surface.

• Special balance bike saddle: The “banana saddle” developed especially for our balance bikes gives children secure support and supports children’s running movements. Since on a balance bike the push impulse can only be transferred via the saddle, a completely different shape than on a bicycle is needed to give the child security and good control of the vehicle.
• Safety handlebar grips: Safety and child-friendly features are key points of all PUKY vehicles. That’s why PUKY was the first manufacturer to fit special safety handlebar grips with large impact surfaces. These protect against injuries in the event of a fall if the child should land on the handlebar. At the same time, the safety handlebar grips prevent unwanted sideways slipping. The grip structure provides good grip and the small diameter suitable for children’s hands allows the grip to be fully wrapped.
• Low step-in: The low step-in on our balance bikes makes it easy to get on and off, which gives beginners a high level of safety and confidence in the vehicle and their own abilities. This means learning progress is achieved faster and the fun of moving is increased.
• Large footboard: Everyone can see how important a large footboard is when watching children ride downhill. If such a footboard is not available, the feet are intuitively lifted off the ground. The centre of gravity moves upwards, the whole vehicle loses stability and starts to rock. But if the feet are positioned low and centrally in the vehicle, the line stays stable and uncertainties don’t arise in the first place.
• Height-adjustable saddle and handlebar: To ensure good ergonomics and the longest possible service life, on our LRM balance bikes the handlebar and seat post are infinitely height-adjustable. This allows the vehicle to continuously adapt to the children’s growth.
